Obituary of William Featherstone Martindale

WILLIAM FEATHERSTONE MARTINDALE (Veteran WW II, Member Royal Canadian Legion Bowmanville and Port Perry) Peacefully, on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at his home on Scugog Island, at age 79. Bill Martindale, dearly loved husband of May (nee Parker). Loved father of Cameron Martindale of Brantford, Janet Godin and Bob Rollings of Komoka, Barbara and David Ogden of Bowmanville, Laurie and Gary Ovenden of Orono, Kim Martindale of Bowmanville, and Kelly Martindale and Bob Hanc of Oshawa. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Ledger and his brothers Francis Connor and Ralph Martindale. The family of Bill Martindale will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Tuesday, October 26th from 1 - 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend Brent Stiller officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry or the Canadian Cancer Society.
