Obituary of Ronald Smith Rankin

RONALD SMITH RANKIN (Veteran WW II R.C.A.F., Member Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419, Port Perry) Peacefully, on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Lakeridge Health Centre, in Oshawa, at age 79. Ron Rankin of Port Perry, beloved husband of Elva (nee Pingle). Loved father of Bob Rankin and his wife Pat of Port Perry, Jim Rankin and his wife Jean of Epsom, Ken Rankin and his wife Janet of Port Perry, Ray Rankin and his wife Jackie of Port Perry, David Rankin and his wife Pat of Scugog Island, and Susan and her husband Yvan Lebel of Scugog Island. Ron will also be sadly missed by his 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Doris Messina of Lindsay and the late Jack Rankin. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905) 985-2171 on Friday from 2 �" 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Ron Rankin will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 23rd at 11 a.m. with Reverend John Griffen officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry.
