Bryna Mickelson and I wish to send our sympathy to Dorothy's family. We both worked with her at the ROM at various functions and especially in the Discovery Gallery for many years. We enjoyed her friendship and great sense of humour. Her knowledge of pottery was always helpful to all of us in the Gallery. Sincerely, Marion Cox were

Dear Enid, It's been many years, since we were all kids, that our generation has been in touch. But our parents' friendships were solid and long-lasting. I hadn't seen Dorothy for a long time, but had kept up with her news through my mother. Helen sends her sympathy to you and all your family. She too is 90. We just celebrated her birthday last month. I thought you would like to know that we have recently had a look at some wonderful times our parents shared over the years. All our family films are on video now and just a couple of weeks ago, we watched the film of the Bohnen, Copeland and Hashmall trip to Europe in the fifties. Max, Frank and Moey have been gone for a very long time now, and Frances for some years now too. But to see them strolling down an Italian street (with Dorothy kindly greeting a young Italian boy), on the boat to Capri, and lots of other places too is to slide back in time. What a great group of friends they were. There are also years and years of New Year's parties on film too, at our house, mostly in the basement rec room (it was the fifties after all). And when you think that they were younger then than we are now ... Our thoughts are with you today. Susan

Dear Enid and Family, Sandy called and told me that your mother had passed away. Although I was very sorry to hear this, it is some comfort to know that she had lived a full and long life. I well remember her as a kind and contented person. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely Inga and Family
