Obituary of Merrill Wright Van Camp

MERRILL WRIGHT VAN CAMP Peacefully, on Thursday, January 30, 2003, at home with his family, at age 76. Merrill Van Camp of Blackstock, beloved husband of Jean (nee Harris) and the late Norma (nee Malcolm) 1989. Loved father of Dale Van Camp and his wife Janet of Blackstock, Marie and her husband Robert Attfield of Delta, BC, and Valerie and her husband Ron Linton of Oshawa. Loving grandfather of Jamie, Mark and Scott Attfield, Mary, Michael and David Van Camp, and Emily and Maggie Linton. Cherished stepfather of Grant McLaughlin and his wife Heather, and Neil McLaughlin and his wife Kathy all of Blackstock. Remembered by grandchildren Carla, Abby, Alex, Jessica, and Blake McLaughlin. Dear brother of Keith Van Camp and his wife Wilma and Aileen Van Camp all of Blackstock and he will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Elva Van Camp. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Sunday from 1 �" 4 and 7 �" 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Merrill Van Camp will be held in the Blackstock United Church on Monday, February 3rd at 2 p.m. with Reverend Karen Bursey officiating. Interment Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Blackstock United Church Memorial Fund or the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Port Perry.
