Obituary of Philip Goreski
Born September 12, 1918 in Saskatchewan and died peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 84. Philip Goreski was a successful farmer, businessman and entrepreneur in the Port Perry area for over 62 years. He will be missed by his wife Anne (nee Exner), his children Gerald (Dianne), Ken (Dianne), Wayne (Gail), Larry (Beni Kearns), MaryAnne Medved (Bob Muckle), Kelly (Darla), Allan (Lori), Ron (Cathy), Len (Patti) and Teresa (Mike McGuinness), his grandchildren Danielle, Meagan, Erika, Mark, Paul, Lisa, Leighann, Jeff, Mandy, Brad, Allison, Jenny, Kyle, Cheryl-Anne, Derek, Nicole, Jeremy, Jessica, Rachel, Matthew and Lesley, and his great grandchildren Jaiden, Tyson, Olivia, Emily, Mykaela, Robbie, Kate and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen, his brothers Frank, John and Tom and his sister Lena. Survived by his brothers Rudy, Gus, and Adam and his sisters Anne and Sophie. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Highway 7A in Port Perry on Friday, January 24th at 1:30 p.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry or the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
