Willie Beaton posted a condolence

I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of “Garnie”. As a member of the Port Perry Curling Club, before Jacqueline and I moved to Guelph, I always enjoyed our curling encounters. He was an intense competitor and I enjoyed playing against him and having a beverage after the game while kibitzing with him about shots missed and made. He always had a great sense of humour and I enjoyed all our interactions on and off the ice. He will certainly be missed. I send my condolences to his entire family and hope the memories of all the good times you’ve had together ease the feelings of loss they currently share. Best regards.
Cheers, Willie and Jacqueline Beaton

My very deepest sympathy to Carol and family.
In the short few years that I knew Garnet, because he had that gift of drawing people in, I quickly considered him to be my friend.
Garnet has left his mark on his family, his friends and his community. He will be sorely missed.
