My condolences to the family, enjoyed our visits and many laughs! Especially when I knocked on the door in the morning and she would always ask me it I was tall, dark and handsome, knowing that I’m 5’4 and female. I will miss her.

Dear Tracey, Susan, Patti, Paul and family,
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom. I will miss getting updates from you about how she is doing and her latest adventure. She has always made me smile, especially on the occasions when I got to see her and she greeted me with the sunniest hello! She had a way of making anyone she was talking to feel like they were special. I'm forever grateful for the best memories of our families together growing up and what your family means to mine to this day. The beautiful bond between all of you is such a wonderful tribute to her! And I'm certain there's a very fun poker game happening up in heaven as I write this message. Sending much love and strength. Love Laurie Ann, Keith, Derek and Meghan xoxo

I used to babysit for Mary Lou in exchange for junk food. We had very little at our house in terms of snack food, so I would jump at any opportunity to babysit .lol Kidding aside, she was the best neighbour and friend you could wish for.
I will always hear Mary Lou’s voice calling “Paul” as she tried to find him but little did she know he was at our house in search of a box of Kraft dinner. Lol
Will forever hold her in my heart and keep her in my prayers. Love you all, Breward family.

Dear Tracey, Susan, Patti Lou and Paul,
Well what can I say about Marylou? She has been in the Frechette kids lives for over 60 years and before that a loyal and good old friend to our parents Dan & Jo. Marylou met our father Dan at the CNE with Gary Mighthon and Eleanor WORRALL soon to be Mighton in the '50s. And the card games and weekends at the cottage on Lake Catchacoma began. Marylou loved swimming in the "LAKE" no matter what the temperature was. She always had a smile on her face and always up for a game of cards. Thank you Marylou for being such a wonderful and supportive person in all our lives.
Love,
Michelle, Adele & Danny Frechette

I have so many great memories of Mary Lou. First of all, she was the only mom on Canlish Road to let us call her by her first name instead of Mrs Breward. Mary Lou was a second mom to most of the kids in the neighbourhood. One summer she said that we should take swimming lessons at McGregor Park pool and so she signed us up - even though we didn't want to. She knew that it was important that we knew how to swim. Thank you Mary Lou for not taking no as an answer. I love swimming. When I had children of my own I made sure that they all took swimming lessons. I thought of Mary Lou many times while I watched my kids swim and told them the stories of a loving neighbour who made sure we knew how to swim.
Mary Lou took me to my first movie at the Golden Mile theatre. I still remember climbing in her car with a lot of the neighbourhood kids and going to watch The Sound of Music. Wouldn't you know that The Sound of Music is still my favourite movie of all time. Thank you Mary Lou.
Mary Lou was a beautiful, strong and feisty lady. You couldn't get much past her though. If you were up to no good she would know and all it took was for her to give you a look and you behaved. lol She was a great neighbour who truly cared about others.
I could go on and on about Mary Lou because she was such a big presence in my childhood but the best quality of all was her love for her family. Her four children, Tracey, Susie, Patti Lou and Paul how blessed you were to call her mom. She was very proud of you and loved you. Keep telling stories about her because I'm sure she'll be close by listening and laughing along with you. To her grandchildren and great grandchild, may all the love that she had for you keep you smiling when you think about her. She was quite a woman and I feel blessed to have had her in my life.
