Obituary of Nina Burrows

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Nina Burrows on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in her 90th year. Loving mother of Teresa, Stephen, late Peter (Carol), and late Mary Lynn Burrows. Devoted grandma to Kirstie Drew-Brook (Shawn) and Bryce Burrows (Emily). Predeceased by her parents Agnes and George Johnston and her siblings Eileen, Donald, Leslie, Guelda, and Harvey. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Nina was a registered nurse for over 30 years bringing kindness and compassion to the bedside of her patients. She travelled as often as she could and was always up for a new adventure. She would reminisce often about her love for dancing in her later years. A very special thank you goes out to the staff at Centennial Place in Millbrook, ON for their wonderful care for Nina over the past decade. Rested at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171). A graveside service will be held at the Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Nina.
