Obituary of Jean Ruth Thornton
Peacefully, on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at the Oak Ridges Hospice, in Port Perry, at age 91. Jean Thornton (nee Sproul), beloved wife of the late Harry Thornton. Loving mother of Cyndie and her husband Tim, Richard and his wife Leona, and Greg and his wife Cynthia. She will be remembered by grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Amanda, Melissa, and Jessica, her 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
A Service to Celebrate Jean's life will be held at the Anglican Church of the Ascension, 266 North Street, Port Perry on Friday December 15th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Anglican Church of Ascension Memorial Fund, or the Oak Ridges Hospice through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171).
