Obituary of Roy Freeman

Peacefully entered into rest, on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton. Roy Freeman, beloved husband of Betty Ann (nee Jones) for 56 years. Loving and cherished father of Tammy and her husband Mike, and Randy and his wife Elizabeth. He was the proud papa of Melinda Ann Callahan. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Ila Jones as well as his many nieces and nephews.

 

Roy was born August 17, 1933 in Scarborough to George and Iris Freeman. He was predeceased by his brothers George and Don. Roy was a loyal, gentle, caring and hardworking man who spent over 50 years working for Van Camp Contracting. This was a job he cherished and was very proud of. Roy was a dedicated family man and a true friend to all who knew him. He will be forever missed.

 

The Family of Roy Freeman will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Wednesday, December 6th from 10 – 11 a.m.  A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Burnt River Cemetery.
