Obituary of Jean Ballingall

Peacefully passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Jean is survived by her daughter Laura and her husband Christopher, and grandchildren Rowland and Brianna. Daughter Christine and her husband Sherry, and grandchildren Melissa (Josh) and Sunil (Tenzin and great grandson Mikail). Stepson Dean and his wife Sonja. Stepson Drew and his wife Nicole, grandchildren Randi-Lynn, Liam (Aidan), Aidan, Declan (Brea), and great grandchildren Amora-Rose and Briar. Stepdaughter Sherri and her husband Chris, and grandchildren Sarah (Dylan) and Rachel (Caleb). She is also survived by her cherished neighbours and friends.

For 77 years, her love for family, friends, and the Kawartha Lakes area was always apparent. Jean loved the seasons and wanted to be outside walking whenever she could. The old house in Bobcaygeon, which she lived in for many years with her late husband, was dear to her heart. They enjoyed gardening together, while their dog would play in the grass. She had a talent for creating arts and crafts and was often inspired by her interest in owls. More than all, Jean loved spending time with both of her families. Festive holiday dinners brought her great joy, and she ensured sweets, like her homemade cherry cheesecake, were taken care of. With her passing, she happily joins her beloved husband, Jim Ballingall, and their little dog, Meko. As we mourn the physical loss of Jean, let us carry forward her legacy of love, creativity, and togetherness. In celebrating her life, may we find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the enduring impact of her beautiful spirit.
