Very sorry to learn of Mrs. MacMillan's passing. She taught my sister in kindergarten in Epsom (if memory serves correctly) and was so nice to me the few times we met at Matt's house. My thoughts are with Matt and Susan. Matt was the first friend I made when we moved into town. Rest in peace, Mrs. MacMillan.

I have fond memories of moving to the neighbourhood and meeting Nancy and Gord. The neighborhood corn roasts and Xmas parties were legend. Nancy and Gord were welcome and kind to the newbies. Nancy and I had a shared love of reading. Although we had lost touch after moving away, I did get to have a visit at their home across from our old house. We talked about books and my late entry to teaching. I remember when she and Gord came to visit us at the marina.
Dear Matt and Sue and families, we are thinking of you. Jan and Steve Fluke

As a new teacher, I had the distinct pleasure of working with Nancy. She was a wonderful mentor and her genuine love of children and teaching was contagious. She had a constant open door policy, and did not hesitate to help any of us with challenging students or difficult situations. Although my career took me a good distance from Port Perry, her kindness, generosity and great sense of humour have never been forgotten. My heart goes out to her family and friends during this difficult time. May you cherish the many memories of Nancy. She will live on in our hearts. Lorelei

I am very saddened by the passing of my best friend Nancy. I loved going to see her and spending time with her. Nancy was such a smart and lovely lady. I loved talking with her, the stories she would tell me about her past, some were very funny. She always had a smile for me, I have learned a lot about her life living in Port Perry. We would sit for a couple of hours and talk about everything, there was nothing off limits. She also had a love of reading and we would talk about all the books she had read. I know that I will miss our time together. Rest in peace my dear friend. You are now with your beloved husband Gord and your precious dog Clover up in heaven.
