Dear Glenn and family:
Donna phoned us a few weeks ago to tell us that our previous home at 443 Lakeshore Drive had finally sold. We caught up on all the "news" of Port Perry and she spoke again of how fortunate they were to be so well taken care of, and of her loving family.
We heard of her passing today and simply can not believe it. They were simply the best neighbours and friends. We will treasure our memories of coffee times together, and those darned geese. If the phone rang at about 7:30 p.m. it would be Donna, always ending our call with Night Jan.
Sincerely
Gary and Jan Saunders

Donna was such a lovely person, inside and out. We always loved catching up with Donna at the farm store when she came to get produce for her pickling adventures. She gave you a warm hug with her smile. The world lost a beautiful woman. Please know we are thinking of the family and sending so much LOVE.

I will miss our visits at West Shore with Bentley. Once I listened to her play the piano on the 3rd floor. She was always dressed to perfection! My mom was proud to call her a friend. She held a beautiful wedding shower for me at her house! I enjoyed the connection of the horses as well. My heart goes out to the extended family on the passing of a generous, kind, elegant lady.

Glenn and Family,
May your loving memories give you comfort now and in the days to come. In the words from Winnie the Pooh, "If there ever comes a time when we can't be together, keep me within your heart, I'll stay there forever". The beautiful memories Donna left us will remain apart of us always. Her famous perfectly made chocolate cake and pistachio jellied salad will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was literally on my way to pay my respects, but, sadly I got a flat tire!!! 30 years ago, Glenn and Donna were my employers, at the horse barn!!! Long Live Celtic Pride!!! I will fondly remember babysitting numerous grandkids, while feeding and mucking horses, and Saturday visits, with Hank's Donuts in hand!!! Donna was an amazing sweet lady, I will cherish my time working for both of them, knowing their kids and meeting their Pride and Joys of grandkids!!! Sincerely, with Love, Sheila Clarke

She was loved and will truly be missed. She spoke so fondly of her family and was proud to be a Grandmother to all her beautiful grandchildren. We shared many good conversations in her later years that I will truly remember with great fondness. It was pleasure sharing a laugh with her. She had quite the sense of humour and wit. My thoughts are with her family and especially with her loving husband.

On behalf of the Ireland Family please accept our sincere condolences on Donna’s passing. She was one of the loveliest people we have ever had the pleasure to meet. The love she shared with Glenn was evident in every gesture and conversation. She was immensely proud of her beautiful family. Our hearts go out to you all. Tonight we’d like to think Donna and our Mom, Dawn Ireland, are having a coffee, eating sandwiches and sharing perhaps just a bit of good old Port Perry gossip. With fond memories,

Grandma was the epitome of a homemaker from the detail that she put into her interior design to the incredible food and delectable desserts she made for her family to enjoy. She was fashionable and made sure she and Grandpa were always looking spiffy and put together whether they were headed to the grocery store or for a fancy dinner out. Our childhood gatherings at Grandma and Grandpa's were filled with laughter, sweets, treats and lots of music. Her ability to play piano by ear was a gift that she shared with us on almost every occasion and something she had in common with her beloved mother, Elva. Grandma loved her grand children and great grandchildren tremendously and relished the time spent with them. She was always looking forward to phone calls and visits from loved ones. Grandma's fridge was always filled with strawberry jam and pickles for the taking and one of my favourite memories of late was her teaching my daughter, Ivy, how to make the jam. Grandpa was her assistant and we were laughing away throughout the process as Grandpa made jokes and riled Grandma up. Ivy thought the whole thing was hilarious. There are so many memories for which I am so grateful and will carry in my heart. Love you Grandma!

My dear Grandma,
This past Thursday you played beautifully on your beloved piano with your Great Granddaughter Iris by your side for what would be the last time. We are so grateful to have shared this moment with you and for all the moments. The love, the laughter, the always entertaining gossip, the treats and the meals that were always made with love. We cherish them all and will miss you beyond measure. With all our love
