Obituary of Doris Kathleen Reneau
On Friday, December 29, 2022 Doris Kathleen Reneau (nee MacGregor) peacefully and naturally passed away at the West Shore retirement home in Port Perry at the age of 99. Doris was the beloved wife of Gordon Louis Reneau (predeceased), loving mother of Douglas and his wife June, Jeffrey (predeceased), and Michael and his wife Jennifer. She was an extraordinary Nan to Derek and Ally (Doug) and to Jade and Jack (Mike) and great grandmother to Luke and Max (Ally).
Doris was born in Port Perry, where she met and married her husband, Gord. They then moved to Toronto where she devotedly raised her family of three active boys. The commitment to her family in Toronto continued well after Gord’s retirement in the unrelenting supporting and nurturing of her grandchildren. After numerous years of deliberation, Gord and Doris relocated back to her hometown of Port Perry where she became very socially involved in the community. Doris was always interested in the well being of others in a non-judgemental manner, always taking time to engage with everyone at social gatherings and had an open-door policy for her friends and her children’s friends. Everyone loved sweet Doris for her candid sense of humour and friendly and supportive demeanour. She will be sorely missed by all.
The family of Doris Reneau will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott‑Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985‑2171) on Friday, January 13th from 1 – 2 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. to celebrate the life of their dear mom.
