Diann and the Dunn family,
My sincere condolences on Bob’s passing. Bob was a mentor and a friend, and a truly dedicated Catholic educator. I enjoyed every moment working with Bob because he was professional, kind and caring.
He would often talk about how much he loved Diann and how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. He was a true family man and loyal friend. Even though, years have passed and our lives became busy, I have never forgotten the kindness and guidance of Bob. I will continue to remember Bob with love and admiration because he lived life to the fullest surrounded by family and friends.
May God bless your family during this difficult time.
Marisa and Tom Pugliese

Dear Diann and family,
Please accept our condolences on the loss of Bob. So glad you were to access the support of our community hospice. It is a fitting beacon of hope for this compassionate community we are privileged to call home. May you find comfort in the words of St. Chrysostom: “ Those whom we have loved and lost are no longer where they were. They are wherever we go.” Deo Gratias

Dear Diann,
I am so saddened to hear about the death of dear Bob. He was such a kind and compassionate man. I have known Bob since our days teaching at St. Anthony Daniel and St. Wilfrid, many years ago. He was known as Monsieur Dunn and all the students loved him. He was a great teacher, supportive colleague and wonderful story teller. Bob always had a smile on his face and a funny story to share. One memory that I have and always tell is when we took the Grade 8's to Ganaraska Forest. Bob and Mansel were the male chaperones. One morning Bob woke up and groggily declared, "I haven't slept a wink!" Mansel immediately responded by saying, "You, you, you haven't slept a wink?!!! I didn't sleep a wink!!!! You were snoring all night." Bob then said that the red exit light above the door kept him up all night. Well, I laughed all day and whenever I think of that exchange it puts a smile on my face. I am blessed to have known Bob and will always have fond memories of him.
Please accept my deepest condolences, Diann, for your loss. May Bob rest in peace and may God be with you in the days ahead.
Love, Anna Zibert

I started my career in teaching with some of the best examples of what a great teacher looks like and sounds like - Bob was at the top of that list. He was a joy to work with - he kept the laughs coming day in and day out, loved his students, was dedicated to the community and set an excellent example for all. "Bobo" will be remembered fondly by so many. Love and prayers to his family.

My condolences on Bob’s passing. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with him at St Wilfrid’s for 10 years. He was a FANTASTIC teacher and even better person. His love for the French language, the development of students and general passion for life was obvious in all he did and said. Bob spoke often and with immense love about his family. He was such a gentleman. I have many fond memories of Bob. He always made the students laugh when he told them to take out a “shit of paper”, he never smiled when he said it, but we teased him when the students were gone home and he would chuckle. Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to your family. I have very fond memories of Mr. Dunn when he taught me at St. Anthony Daniel. He had such a positive influence on students and is one of the reasons I have put my own son into French immersion. He was a great teacher and wonderful person. You will be missed, Monsieur. May you rest in peace.

One of my favourite teachers. I still remember the songs in French he taught me. The song about Tofu the squirrel and how to remember the vowels in French. He also gave me an award for best French student in elementary. My condolences to his family. His memory will live on.
