Terry was our golf mentor. We called her "One Eyed Dick" because she never seemed to do more than go up to the ball and hit it: like magic it went in the hole. We had many wonderful get togethers at the course and at our homes. We will truly miss all her wicked jokes and comments such as: "Off like a herd of turtles". She always brought peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies for us. She always threatened to drop the ball at the ankles of those in front because they were too slow. She even tossed someone's ball into the poison ivy when they were rushing us! She was a hell of a girl and we will miss her dearly. Love Nancy, Rosemary, Isobel and Joan.

It has been a privilege and a wonderful blessing to have known my Mother-in-law, my Mother since 1963, she was and is like no other, she was one of the smartest women I have ever known, her talents are too numerous to list. She was a faithful wife, and a loving patient Mother, a Grandmother to our children that was like no other and they loved being with her. I never celebrate an occasion that my memory doesn't go back to so many things that she taught me, so many practical things that I still do to this day. I hope that there is a kitchen in Heaven because she made the best Spy Apple Pie and the best Cole Slaw of anyone, when I still serve her Cole Slaw people always ask for the recipe and the bowl is always empty. She always blessed me with two apple pies for my birthdays and because I have always loved and worn broaches she would scourer the yard sales and there would be one with the pies and also for Christmas, I cherish these and still have these treasures in my jewellery boxes. Before my daughter Carole Ann was born she told me that she was too young to be a Grandmother, well that went out the window the day I left the hospital in Uxbridge and stopped off in Utica at Mom and Dad's so they could see her, she immediately asked if she could hold her snatched her away to her bedroom and asked if she could take her blanket, bonnet and sweater off and snuggled her for the longest time, the rest was a life time for Grandma and Granddaughter spending special times together. Mom was always up to something with her whether teaching her some naughty words in french or playing practical jokes, speaking of piratical jokes she would get up to go to work before Bonnie and Larry who were staying with her got out of bed, they would set a few alarms at different times so they could sleep in a bit, so Mom decided to get them up with the first alarm, she carried a very heavy Kirby Vacuum upstairs, put it under their bed ran and extension cord all the way down the stairs through the kitchen to and outlet at the back door and just before she left the house she plugged it in, well she laughed so hard when she told us about them jumping up, running around, hearing Bonnie yelling "what is it Larry, what is it," yup that was our dear Mother. From before Carole Ann was walking all the way up into her teens she would sew amazing clothes for her, she would sew and knit clothes for all her Granddaughters and Great Granddaughters and their Barbie dolls and some for her Grandson Scott's clothes. she sewed beautiful things for Sharon, Bonnie and me. In all the years I have known her she never said anything critical about anyone. Mom loved each and everyone of us and her precious Grandchildren. Mom loved many sports and would enjoy watching them on TV, she loved doing the TV Guide crossword puzzle. She would have been a top CEO of some powerful company if she had of been born later in life, we were all very proud of her and loved to go spend time with her on the farm in Utica, where there wasn't a lot of food but she made it seem like there was when she fed us all. When sad times came in her life, she was able to press on and not make a big fuss, she was a very humble precious lady, she mirrored Christ in all her life, she did give her heart to him as in a private moment when I was visiting her I needed to have a bible. she lent me her little worn out one and I asked her about Jesus and she told me that she had ask him into her life many years ago, it gave me so much peace to know this and I cherished it in my heart. Mom sold me two of her cars when she wanted newer ones and never asked much money for them, the first one a little red car I went to pick it up and of course she called out something funny and naughty as I drove away, she had helped me overcome my fear of driving by taking me out on the country roads to give me lots of pointers, Mom was the only one I told when I was going to try out for my drivers license and by the way I got it on the first try, I never looked back thanks to my dear Mother.
So I come before our Holy LORD God with a very tender heart as I say goodbye to the only Mother I have had and thinking that if I had of known my birth Mother, I would have wanted her to be just like my beautiful Mom MacDonald the only Mother who accepted me as I am and and loved me. I praise my God for the precious blessing she was and will always be to me. Today I celebrate that she is with Jesus in her new eternal home. I love you dear Mom your adoring daughter Jill Jessup Fox MacDonald Gallant
