Obituary of Louise Brown
Margaret Bette-Louise Brown
1938 – 2022
Louise Brown, 83 years, died peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry on Saturday January 22, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lennox in 1999. Theirs was a legendary love story. Both emigrated from Belfast to Toronto in 1959 to begin their lives in Canada.
She is dearly missed by her children Tony (Susan), Alison (Paul) and Sonia, and will always be much loved “Nini” to her grandchildren Jacob (Amanda), Justine (Matt), Alexandra (Jörg), Elizabeth and Laura (Caleb). She was thrilled to have had a recent visit with her great grandchildren, Zoey and James, whom she adored. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Morrison (2012) and is mourned by her sister Estelle Murray in Northern Ireland.
Louise was a follower of Jesus and she lived out her faith through her passionate love for people. She was blessed with the Irish gift of storytelling – nothing pleased her more than to enjoy a family meal, regaling us with jokes and tales of her life. She dabbled (rather successfully) in online stock trading, and took great delight in sharing these earnings in her support of local and international charities. In addition to being a homemaker, Louise was a bookkeeper and administrator for Lennox’s busy law practice.
The Brown family is so grateful for the loving, compassionate care of Dr. Michael Gilmour, Dr. Merrilee Brown and the staff at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry.
