Obituary of Doris Margaret May Sinkins
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Doris Sinkins on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 at the Peterborough Regional Health Center at the age of 76.
Doris was predeceased by her husband George Sinkins and her mother, Marjorie Tripp. She was the dear mother of Catherine Clark and her husband, Trevor Stryde, and James Clark and his wife, Barb. Doris was fiercely proud of her grandchildren Kaitlin and Dayna Murczek, Zachery Clark and Benjamin and Simon Stryde. She will be sorely missed by her siblings, Bob Tripp (Shirley), Donna Lane (Ross), Gord Tripp (Brenda), Gloria Brault (Claude), Nancy Evans, David Tripp and she was predeceased by her brothers Norm Tripp (Marilyn) and Brian Tripp. She will also be remembered by George’s family - David, Lindsey and Bryce Sinkins and Marilyn, Dave, Carter and Hannah McFetridge and her many, many nieces and nephews.
While the past few years have been difficult for Doris, she will always be remembered for her successful real estate career, her passion for quilting, sewing and needlework and her dedication to volunteering. Doris spent many hours with George driving children to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Montreal and Boston, and she was also very active with Eastern Star, the Boy Scouts, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171). A private family service will be held on Thursday, May 20th , 2021.
