Obituary of Doris Christina Lyon

DORIS CHRISTINA LYON (Former Unit Administrator on Self Care Unit at North York General Hospital) Suddenly on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 96. Doris (nee Lyons), beloved wife of the late Gerry Lyon and the late Ken Ripley. Loved mother of Ann and her husband Ken Carmichael of Nestleton, and Bill Ripley and his wife Joan of Belleville. Loving grandmother of Graham, Nerissa, Elizabeth, Erin and Andrew, great grandmother of Bryan, Emilie Ann, Tara, and Quincy and great great grandmother of Kafeela, Xavion, Taysha, Kalea and Suzanna. Doris is survived by her sister-in-law Eleanor Lyons. The Family of Doris Lyon will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, April 13th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in St. John’s Anglican Church in Blackstock on Saturday, April 14th at 12 noon with Reverend Mary Bell-Plouffe officiating.
