To my Uncle Phillip whom I will miss dearly but also treasure fond memories when he used to live in England many many years ago as a young man. Although he emigrated to Canada he never lost contact and we always knew the kind and loving person that he was. He visited England whenever he was able to and kept in regular contact with his brother and sister in England. As a niece I can say that he will be greatly missed by us all. He was an Uncle to be proud of and set out in life to achieve and aspire goodness.

Michael & Jenya Odita posted a condolence
Thursday, November 30, 0002
Dear Betty, Peter and the Walters family, It is with great grief that we the Odita family share our condolences for the loss of our beloved Father Brother and Friend - Phillip George Walters. Words cannot relay who and what Phillip meant to us. The father role and model Phillip was to me and my family, the fellowship we all shared to say but a few of the countless moments that God used Phillip in ministering not just to me and my family but to others here in Moscow, Russia just as we are very certain Phillip touched some other lives. Above all else, even in this time of sorrow, we thank God our Father for His saving grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. For just as He did promise, Phillip who spent his life for others in service to God who called and saved him, is now resting in His bosom as we all await a reuniting with our God. May Phillip rest in the peace of God that passeth all understanding and may God's grace and strength be with you all through this period and always in Jesus name. Amen. To Betty our sister-in-law and my nephew Peter and family. Where do I start, there are so many memories of my brother that I treasure. I recall when he was younger, Marion and me decided to cook, when our mum was out and Philip decided to tell on us after eating the food. Phillip was hugged and we were told off. He was my little brother who will always be thought of with loving memories. Rest in peace my dear brother.

To Betty, Peter and family. I am sorry I cannot be there for the funeral but my thoughts will be with you on Saturday. I have fond memories of my uncle when I was a young child. I remember walking in the snow with him, and Uncle Phillip having to pick me up because it was so deep. Another memory of Uncle Phillip was picking me up from school in the fog shining a torch to find our way home. I will always remember my Uncle Phillip with fondest memories and he will be missed greatly. Love Carol.

Thursday, November 30, 0002
Dear Peter and Betty,Aunt Mar, Uncle Herman and family....We are very saddened to hear of Uncle Phillip's passing. He always referred to Janet as his favorite Niece and we will always remember him with much love and affection, the wonderfull, lasting memories from vacationing with him in Jamaica several years ago and his visits to our home in New York. He, Janet and I always enjoyed our time together, sharing many laughs and nostalgic moments, stories of Joyce (Janet's Mom),Aunt Mar and Uncle Herman. Whenever I saw Uncle Phillip, I always joked rhetorically with him "Wha happen man!! how did a Jamaican end up in Newfoundland. The boat left you behind?". Of course his response would always be to invite us to share salmon fishing in Newfoundland...."you dont know what you are missing man" he would say. Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. (Matt 5.4). May the warmth of God's love embrace you, May the compassion of those who care surround you. May the Joy you once shared Brighten your day with the Assurance that love lives forever. With our deepest sympathy, Merv and Janet Moore,we will always remember him.

I'd like to express my deep condolences to the whole family of Phillip G. Walters, especially for my dear Betsy. From the book Phillip gifted me once I have read a very important words: "Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horison; and horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight". My dear Phillip! I know that your soul is still with us and you can hear me. I know this due to my orthodox belief that only after 9 days your soul will leave our world for the best place. All of us are missing you much and that hurts. When something really hurts, it's all right to cry. Now I have a chance to say my good-bye to you. You'll be always in my heart. Our Dear Betty, Peter, Sarah and the Walters family. Although death is an inevitable, it is with deep sorrow we received the news of the passing away to the glory of our dear father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend - Phillip George Walters. It was a great privilege and honour to have met Phillip and his lovely wife, Betty at the International Baptist Fellowship, Moscow couples of years ago. Even when we are out of their sight, yet we are not out of their minds as they continue to communicate with us. His gentleness, kindheartedness and thoughtfulness will remain evergreen in our memory. The fact that our beloved Phillip knew Jesus Christ and accepted Him as Lord of his life and his personal Saviour while here on earth should be enough to comfort us all that we shall meet again at the feet of our Lord to part no more. May God grant us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Peter Aarinola & family.
